Playtime!

Owen loves to get his picture taken and then come see it...thanks to the age of digital cameras!

Owen enjoys drawing with chalk...and no, he is not as much as a progidy as it appears (in knowing how to write his own name already ;)

Owen likes to wear his Daddy's hats..
(for the DeChellis family: "Uh oh is wearing Goggle's hat!" ;)

Owen and Camelia enjoying Nana pushing them on the swings!

Wheeeee!!!!

One...two....three - go!!!

We love Nana!

All the kids saying "cheeeesssssssee... :}"

...soooo cute!

Owen trying to be big like Gigi...shortly after I said, "Look, Owen! A big fire truck!" In response he looked down at his shirt (since he always shows us the fire truck on his pj shirt;)

Little did he know what we were about to get to do next!

The firefighters came to the park to get some exercise; we asked them if we could get some pics before they headed off on their jog...they were happy to oblige!

Owen got to go in the Big Fire Truck!!!!

He looked like a jr. fire fighter in his navy blues ;)

What a cool opportunity for us and our kiddos!

The man who took our picture we supposed to be the fire chief; we thanked him for all their service to our city...he surprisingly responded by thanking us for doing the most heroic and hardest job of all - being mothers! Motherhood is hardwork but is most rewarding and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Introducing...

Mac Arthur Holdeman

Due January 23, 2012

Notice our little acrobat in a sideways canon ball position with his ankles crossed over his head!

He has plenty of room but seems to like practicing his flexibility :)

A Tribute

Our beloved pastor, John MacArthur, has been pastoring Grace Community Church for 43 years! He is a stalwart of the Christian faith and has been wholeheartedly committed to teaching the Word of God clearly and effectively his entire ministry! As a church family we have celebrated an incredible display of God's grace in his life as he has recently completed preaching through EVERY VERSE in the entire New Testament (not to mention several books in the Old Testament)!!! This has not been done in over 100 years and only by a few faithful men before him...what this represents is a man who has faithfully exposited the Bible in one church for over 40 years - WOW!!!

Daniel and I love & admire Pastor John greatly as he is certainly one of the heros of the faith and will continue to be known as one of the greatest preachers of modern days! His ministry has had a huge impact on Daniel and I over the years we have sat under his teaching and served at GCC!
We have chosen to name our second son after him... :)

As a reminder: Owen was named after the great Puritan preacher, John Owen, who championed the doctrines of Scripture like no one else in his time. He also wrote many books, a few of which have influenced Daniel's and my life.
We gave Owen his middle name "William" after my Dad, Irvin (Bubba) William Solt, who is a great hero in our family and is a model of ceaseless and faithful love and service to his family! He is a godly man who has living impact in Daniel's and my life daily and we anticipate his godly influence on his namesake (and others) grandson!

Owen - 16 and 17 months!

"Owen, show me your teeth!"

This little snuggle bug is ready for

Mommy to come read a book with him :)

With his Daddy's help, Owen was able to locate

Catch any flies yet? ;)

Wheeeeeeee!

Owen is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun! Daniel and I are extremely grateful for this little person God has given to us to love and enjoy while teaching and training him as he grows...he does seem to need a few more little boys to play with...all our friends with kids his age have girls...hmmmmm ;)

Holdeman House Photo Tour July 2011

Walking down the gardeny corridor to our apartment...I just love that sweet little rock collector under the two story avocado tree on the left ;)

Looking back down the gardeny corridor towards the front entrance to the complex...the windows on the left behind the trees are to our kitchen and Owen's room...it's like our own little jungle!

The nice little relaxing spot across from our front door.

The back gate towards the parking area...we are in a neighborhood area so there is plenty of street parking out front too.

Welcome to the Holdeman's House!

The view when you open the front door.

Entering our living room and Daniel's office...

View of the living room and dining room.

Sitting on our choc. brown couch you can get a nice view of our bedroom (also in the living room)! We have turned a 1 bedroom into a 1 1/2 bedroom apartment ;)

Another view from the couch...

Our nice kitchen :)

Looking back over the dining/living room, our bedroom and Daniel's office...

Nice bathroom...

...and Owen's room!

Thank you for visiting the Holdeman House! We hope you enjoyed your tour...just scroll back up towards the top and you will be able to find your way out ;)

All of this will be changing in one month as we are moving (again!) back to Santa Clarita. We are looking forward to the sweet deal the Lord has provided in a 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath townhouse with a nice patio and attached 2 car garage! We hope to settle there for a while as there is plenty of room for Daniel and I to have our own room, Owen and the new baby to share a room, Daniel to have an office (as he is working from home 5 days/week) and enjoy normal use of the living room ;) Hopefully it won't take me almost a whole year to post pictures of our new home this next time!!!
